Week 323 Update

I had a late weigh-in this week, because we were going to take Vikki to the airport, and I didn't do my official weigh-in until I got home. So, when I stepped up on Mr. Scale at 11:06 a.m. he said, "198.5 pounds!"

I am sure the late weigh-in lowered my reading a bit, because the rest of the week had been a bit higher, but I also was putting some time between myself and the last ibuprofen I had taken this week, which also helped.

We had a fun and full week this week, with a trip to the coast for a few days, and a visit to Fort Vancouver here in town. Our friends Joan and Vikki were in town and we tried to show them a few of the sights of the area. I lost a tooth on Wednesday, and that area of my mouth is still protesting the rough treatment, but the protest is ebbing.

On the weight loss front, I had an okay week. My weigh-in pulled me back down to where I was two weeks ago, but my average weight for the week was 0.64 pounds over my target range. That is less than a pound high, and it is up just a little bit from last week. I think next week should be better.

For eating, I bounced around a lot, going over my upper limit of 46.0 points on three of the 7 days. I also had three days in the 30's, so my average for the week was just under my limit at 45.79 points-per-day. I wouldn't call that great, but is just under the wire. So, I will take it with a smile and move forward.

I did a fair amount of walking that I didn't claim. We walked down to the beach from our room, and here and there in Lincoln City, Depot Bay, and Newport. I moved luggage around several times, and didn't feel too sedentary this week.

I definitely feel better about my journey these days. I am paying attention to what I am eat far more consistently, and tracking it all in my journal. I am trending downward, and even with water retention and a few poor eating choices this week, my highest reading on the scale was only 202.0, a mere 3.5 pounds higher than my weigh-in this morning, and only 2 pounds out of my target range. From Wednesday on, I was only a half pound over my target range. It was not a stellar week, but it was much better than what I was doing before I got back on track.

6 years, 71 days on my journey; a lifetime to follow.
