Body Mass Index Info
You can calulate your BMI by using one of these formulas:
BMI = ( W / (I x I) ) x 703
Where:
W is your weight in pounds.
I is your height in inches
BMI = ( W / (F x F) ) x 4.88
Where:
W is your weight in pounds.
F is your height in feet.
BMI = ( K / (M x M) )
Where:
K is your mass in kilograms.
M is your height in meters.
BMI = ( K / (C x C) ) x 10,000
Where:
K is your mass in kilograms.
C is your height in centimeters.
Since your height doesn't change, you can make it much easier for yourself. For your height there is a single number that you can multiply times your weight to show you your BMI.
Your number = 703 / (your height in inches x your height in inches)
Calculate your number once, write it down and you can use it for the rest of your life!
For Dotti that number is 0.172, for myself it is 0.125.
Once you have your number, you weigh yourself, and then multiply the scale reading by your number and that is your BMI. If my weight were 200, my BMI would be 200 x 0.125 = 25.0.
