Week 273 Update

I weighed in at 195.0 just inside my target range. I was a bit over the top of my range a few times this week, but my average weight was 194.93, just under my limit.

I averaged eating 47.86 points-per-day. That is a little higher than I was aiming for. Still, for the week, I showed a half-pound loss. I am still in flux right now, trying to find my new target for my maintenance points. Clearly my metabolism is different than it was not all that long ago. I was eating 46.0 points-per-day at one time and maintaining around 185. Now the same number of points is putting me closer to 195. This will always remain a hands-on project!

I did pretty well on water this week. I got in my 6 or more cups on all the days but one, and I got some extra on other days, so it was about where I want it.

I woke up this morning with my left eye looking much redder than my right eye. I may have to have that looked at later today.

On Saturday, Dotti and I were still down at my Mom's house for the Coon family reunion. See last week's journal entry.

Mom went to her church, which is on the campus of my old high school. Afterwards LeRoy and I went over to pick her up and give her a ride home. While waiting for Mom, we bumped into a teacher of ours (I sat in his class back in the late 1960s, and LeRoy in the nineties) and his first words to me were, "Are you getting thinner every day?" I guess my new target range is looking okay too. J

After picking up Mom, LeRoy drove us around the campus and I took some pictures of the way it looks today. There have been a lot of changes since I attended classes there.

Later in the day we played some baseball, and went up to the South Umpqua Falls. Finally in the evening we took some family pictures out on Mom's deck.

(Again, I put the pictures up for this in my journal for last week.)

Sunday we said our goodbyes to Mom, Glenn, Rie, and Kai, and headed home. LeRoy followed us in his car and spent the night with us before driving home on Monday.

Monday, Dotti and I had some shopping to do in order to replenish a few things after the trip.

This week Mel Gibson was arrested for drunk driving, and is the big story that the man was driving while intoxicated and endangering innocent lives? No, the arresting officer was offended by what the drunken man was saying far more than he was by what Gibson was doing. So was the press apparently. It's a crazy world we live in.

After catching up on the work that had backed up over the week off; Dotti and paid a visit to the Clark County fair in Washington on Friday.

Dotti did a little shopping. Here she is checking out some purses, seeing if they have one that she likes. You can just see the handle of the plastic bag over her left arm where she is carrying her last purchase. It hadn't become scorching hot yet, but it was warming up pretty good by this time.

And there were quite a few rides for the kids to take. In back ground behind Dotti is the Farris wheel, which is a about as exciting as my rides get any more.

Behind Dotti you can see the sign for the Exhibition Hall where we had just visited with her friend from her old bowling league, who does a lot of cross stitch projects and they were on display once again this year.

Right inside the Red Gate where we entered, we found some sculptured plants. Dotti was nice enough to pose in front of this one for me.

I got the teddy bear bush, or it is about to get me. J

In the Jurassic Journey exhibition I had a close call with a Pterodactyl. I was only able to duck just in time. J

It was a hot day and, unlike Johnny of the song, we didn't stay too long at the fair. Still we had a nice time, although I fear that is where I picked up whatever it is that is bugging my eye.

5 years, 86 days OP; a lifetime to follow.
