Week 183 Update

Once again I woke up at 06:15 and stepped up on Mr. Scale. He promptly said, "186.5 pounds!"

This was not a good week for me. I felt bad all week long. I was improved enough to make it to work on Monday through Wednesday, but I didn't leave the house from the previous Wednesday, until this Wednesday night for anything other than work. We had dinner on Wednesday November third, and then we had dinner on Wednesday November tenth. This time we ate at Sweet Tomatoes, and then we went to Office Max because I needed to have another journal book printed up... Book 7 is fast running out. We walked around the store for a while, waiting for them to complete the book, and I suddenly felt very tired about the time it was completed. We went home, and then the next morning I was very ill again. I missed another day of work on Thursday. Friday I was back at work, but still wasn't feeling right. I didn't do any walking at all this entire week, trying to recover from this flu.

Last Saturday, I weighed in at 185.0, right on target. I ended up eating 46.5 points that day. (For dinner I had some of Dotti's great tortilli soup!)

Sunday my weight jumped up to 187.0 pounds. I held my points down to 38.0.

Monday, I weighed 186.0 in the morning, and ate 43.5 points.

Tuesday, I was 186.0 again, and ate 45.0 points. Normally I would have tried to lower it a bit at this point, but when I am ill, I sometimes push in a few more calories, if my stomach will tolerate it, in order to give my body something to work with.

Wednesday I weighed 185.5 and I actually felt better. It was the first day that I actually felt like leaving the house after getting home from work. We went to Sweet Tomatoes and I had an 18.0 point dinner. For the day I ate 46.0 points.

Thursday I felt terrible once more. I missed work and even my weight moved up to 187.0. Even so, I didn't care, I put in some calories for my body to work with, and ate a total of 49.0 points.

Friday I was up to 188.5 pounds! Well...that got my attention. I held my points down to 39.0. I would have kept it even lower, but the scale in the evening showed that my weight had gone down during the day. So, I was feeling fairly confident that I would be okay in the morning. However, after making that decision, and after drinking 12 cups of water yesterday, many of them in the evening, I found that I was up to 190.0 pounds when I went to bed. I knew it had to be water, but I didn't like seeing that anyway! But the scale fell to 186.5 this morning and all was well.

Exercise didn't happen this week, so there is nothing to report there.

For water, I had at least 6 cups each day, and I averaged 72 ounces (9 cups) per day.

3 years, 186 days OP; a lifetime to follow.
