Week’s Data
Week 168 Update It was 58º and 05:20, this last day in July, when I stepped up on Mr. Scale, who promptly said, "184.0 pounds!" After 1176 completed days (3 year, 80 days) of my journey have passed, and I have been at goal for 945 days, I thought I would check what my average points per day were since I reached goal. I found that I have eaten on average 45.2 points each day since reaching goal. I can't say that is too surprising. I had more or less settled in on 45.0 points as my maintenance level earlier. My weigh-ins for that time, averaging all 945 daily weigh-ins together, comes out to an average weight of 184.7 pounds, only 0.3 pounds off my target weight. I have also averaged drinking 8.8 cups of water a day during that time. If I can eat that many points, weigh-in at that value, and drink that much water every day, I would be very happy with that! For nearly 1000 days I have been holding steady on course, and I hope that will continue! This week I averaged 46.12 points per day, just a bit over my long-term average. My weigh-ins averaged 184.93, just a shade over my long-term average, and my water came out to 6.8 cups per day, a couple of cups down from my long-term average, but within my target range. If I am in a rut, it is good one. This week Dotti has served us lots of fresh fruit and other goodies. I have been eating an apple a day for my lunch at work and have really enjoyed it. Yesterday I had a company obligation for lunch where my district manager, the local salesman, and lead FSE took my customer out for a meal. I ended up with a burger and fries (it was a seafood restaurant, and I just don't care for seafood), but I have found that when I cut the burger in half, and only eat half the fries, after a dinner salad with the dressing on the side I am completely full, and my points are at least in the same ballpark as what I normally eat for lunch. Yesterday it came out to about 17.0 points for lunch, and I normally eat between 10 and 12 points anyway. (It used to be 14.5 every day, but I pulled it back a bit to give me more leeway throughout the rest of the day.) Since Dotti made my lunch for me yesterday, and I didn't eat it at lunchtime, I ate part of it for dinner, and got my apple in anyway. By day's end I had not gone high on points, in fact I had only consumed 42.0 of them. I haven't done much walking recently, and I think my 1,200-mile goal is probably going to slip away from me. I hope to at least get back to walking regularly soon. I really miss it. Once I get in for some testing, I will hopefully be able to put this abdomen problem to bed and get on with my life. Today we head up to Spokane for a week of fun and relaxation with our best friends Jim and Tammy! 3 years, 81 days OP; a lifetime to follow. -Al-
