It is true, the first two months using Enjoying Weight Loss, I dropped 20 pounds!I went on to lose a total of 37.5 pounds, that first year, using the program.~Dotti
Hi, this is Al, Dotti's lucky husband. It is good to keep a steady hand on your Journey and not fall to Crazy Claims. It isn't about losing weight quickly, but losing it for good. In the end, what matters is the weight you keep off. It is spectacular when you lose a lot of weight quickly, in the sensational world of glamour weight loss products, but it doesn't matter at all if you don't keep it off!
So, let me tell you something even more impressive, than what Dotti did in 2005 when she first discovered Enjoying Weight Loss. In September of 2010, Dotti weighed 257 pounds at the doctor's office. It probably was the highest her weight has ever been. Both of Dotti's hips were being destroyed by arthritis, and her left one was already about as bad as a hip can get, complete bone on bone. She literally screamed out in pain whenever she got into the car. I had to lift her legs for her, because she couldn't lift them herself. This led us into a year like I hope to never have to live through again. Both of Dotti's hips have been replaced now (left hip done on June 13, and right hip done on September 12, of 2011). Pain, fear, struggle and striving for recovery all mixed together creating a cocktail that no one would want to drink. But Dotti drank it all, and she came out standing on her new hips and determined to walk through the door that medical science opened for her.
There are many reasons to lose weight, but the primary one is health. A Rand study showed that being obese carries twice as much of a health risk as smoking does. Trading smoking for obesity is a bad trade, especially if it is morbid obesity. Dotti has faced one of the horrors of obesity: degenerative joint disease. Her brother, who was in the super obese category, developed diabetes. He went on a campaign of regeneration and has done very well, dropping over 150 pounds and pushing diabetes back into the box it came out of, for now at least. Heart attack, stroke, and many other evils can come upon you when you are obese.
What most impressed me about this past year was the fact that Dotti is down to 223 lbs. Over 30 pounds have been shed, and while it has bounced around a bit (she was down to 216 before her second surgery), she has solidly kept at least 30 pounds off for nearly a year now. She has used Enjoying Weight Loss all along the way. It has helped her to stay away from bad habits and stopped her from getting back on the gaining path.
Why is this so impressive? Dotti has been unable to exercise in any significant way for this entire past year. She walked with a walker, and then a cane, and then back to a walker, and back to a cane, but she was in terrible pain every time she got up out of a chair. It tore my heart out watching her suffer that way. But Dotti doesn't have the word quit in her vocabulary. She did what she could, and she controlled the one area that was in her power to control: her eating. Part of the reason it was in her control, was the help that Dr. Roberta Temes provided on the Enjoying Weight Loss CDs.
We have spoken with Dr. Roberta on the phone, as well as corresponding with her through email. I can tell you from personal experience that she is a caring woman, as well as a very talented professional, and expert in the weight loss area. I can't imagine this past year working as well as it did without the Enjoying Weight Loss CDs helping Dotti.
There is one more thing, and that is the future! Dotti is still in the Obese category. Her BMI is 37.7 as I write this. She dropped out of the Morbidly Obese category and down into the Obese category, and she has remained there for many months. Now she has to tackle the large project of reaching her Normal category, by moving her BMI to 25 or less; that is a weight of 148 pounds or less.
Well, even the longest journey begins with the first step. So, the next intermediate goal is to hit 177 pounds, dropping her BMI below 30 and into the merely Overweight category. Forty-six pounds is what it will take to get there. She lost over 30 lbs without exercise, relying on her knowledge of the Weight Watchers system, and Enjoying Weight Loss. But now...
Enjoying Weight Loss has a wonderful section on exercise that is now going to help motivate Dotti into this new phase of the Journey to a healthy weight. One of our shared goals is: Dotti and I plan to do the Bloomsday Race in May. We are going to be ready!
In the final analysis, we have no choice on this Journey, because obesity will not only take an increasingly larger bite out of our quality of life today, it will shorten that life in the end. That's the bad news. The good news is that it is doable! Dotti has been using Enjoying Weight Loss all year long, and she has been very successful during a most trying time of our lives. No, she is not at goal today, but she is nearly 30% of the way there, and she did that in the face of agony and a forced sedentary existence. Think of it!
Today she walks with zero pain: none. Her flexibility is still short of where it will be, but January will find her back at the gym with her personal trainer, for the first time in more than a year, and also doing water aerobics. She will be walking with me as well, on a regulated exercise program. All the while, she will be eating as she should as well, and we know it will work, because she has the mental assist provided by Enjoying Weight Loss. (And as if that were not enough, she also has the new Weight Loss For Life program to work hand in hand with Enjoying Weight Loss.)
Please join Dotti and I in a super and successful 2012. Your heart, your joints, and your mind will all thank you for getting your weight down and getting into shape. Here we go!
Wishing you the very best,
