    Hi everyone!   As of today,   Monday, April 21st, I am down 43 lbs.  This Journey to Goal is going a lot slower than my 1st Journey to Goal in 1998.  While this Journey back to goal is different from my first one, I am still slowly losing 1 to 1.5 lbs a week on most weeks, keeping my elliptical workouts hard and steady, journaling every day, and keeping with my food program.  That is SUCCESS in my book.  I try to always remember that I’m 16 years older and my body is not what it used to be.  🙂 Today was my official weigh-in and the scale said I gained     0.4 lbs with a reading of 208.4 lbs. Todays exercise went well.  Level 10 is still hard and taxing but I refuse to move back down to Level 10 – No! No! No! I’ve created another photo slideshow for Easter 2014 with LeRoy, Rachel and the grandkids.  Emily was so cute in her Easter dress and had a blast coloring eggs.     Another week has flown by.  I swear, the older I get, the faster time flies.  My sleep is still backwards (awake all night, sleep most of the day) and really all I can do is work on getting it back to a more normal schedule.  I go in cycles, it seems.  🙁 I did the elliptical again yesterday, which meant I did it two days in a row.  I skipped today and will do it again tomorrow.  I’m really trying to add more sessions during the week by doing the elliptical two days on, one day off.  I didn’t last the last time I tried this but maybe I will this time.  All I can do is to keep trying. Today I got up and made a new recipe, adapted from another given to me, Lasagna Soup.  Al and I both loved it.  Check it out if you’re interested. Speaking of new recipes, I have really been enjoying cooking.  I guess I have finally become a cook.  I can tell you I’ve never thought of myself as a cook; just a person that can throw meals together.  I’m actually having a lot of fun creating recipes.     Time to Catch Up Wednesday, April 9, 2014

    I guess it’s about time to get my butt in gear and start posting again.  I had a bad week last week but this week is starting to look pretty good.  When I say I had a bad week, I mean I was not feeling good and had a hard time focusing on the Journey and myself.  I journaled throughout the week and I had a maintain at my weekly weigh-in   on Monday, 4/7/14.  I did my elliptical but missed a couple of sessions.  I got back on my every-other-day routine today.  Last week I did my workout on 4/9/2014  ~  4/6/2014  ~  4/3/14  ~  4/1/2014 and was proud of myself for doing the workouts. Level 10 is kicking my butt.  I will not back down to Level 9 or cut my 45 minutes but I will keep with it and not give up.   I love the elliptical because it doesn’t hurt my knees or my hips and gives me a really good workout.  It’s my choice of exercise machines. I made a new recipe in the crockpot, Dotti’s Turkey Chili with Rice & Quinoa,  which I will post after this.  Along with my crockpot creation  I tried another…
