Why is it that the older you get the faster time seems to go by? Here it is March 14th already!
I’ve been busy adding (82) new restaurants and updating (75) others in the last couple of weeks. All the restaurants were given Smart Points, along with the already Points+ and Original Points. As of 3/12/18 I have 779 Restaurants, 406 with Smart Points added.
Every day I get up wanting to keep on tracking, keep on drinking water instead of Diet Dr. Pepper, keep on getting some exercise, and most of all, keep on keeping on. I’m not going to give up even though I’m struggling to keep doing what needs to be done to lose this weight and become a healthier person. I will not give up.
Christmas was the last time I posted so I need to do a bit of updating.
We had the grandkids for an overnight on Valentine’s Day while the parents had a nice getaway. We had so much fun. We ordered pizza and gigantic chocolate chip cookie from Pizza Hut and the next morning I made some heart-shaped pancakes. Grandpa took Emily to school the next morning. Grandma and Grandpa got to spend some quality time with Jake. We had so much fun! Jake loves playing foosball with Grandpa and let me tell you, at 2 1/2 years he is quite the foosball player. I told Al he’s going to beat him at 4! He loves his numbers and ABC puzzles. I think we need to get some more complicated puzzles as he whips through them and is so proud, giving out hi-fives when he is finished.
LeRoy surprised me with beautiful flowers and a box of See’s candy, which I love. He knows I’m trying to watch what I eat so got me a small box, which Al and I shared.
On January 10th, my close friend, Joan, came out to visit me from Milwaukee, WI I cannot even begin to tell you how much I really loved the visit. Long talks catching up with each other, trip to downtown Spokane, going to a movie, a visit with Emily, Jake and LeRoy and having a nice lunch out at Tomato Street were highlights of our visit. Joan looks great and has really inspired me to get going with my own Journey to a healthier me. Thank you for caring and the hugs were great.
On January 10th, Jake had his first sleepover, alone, at Grandmas and Grandpas. He was awesome and loved spending time with us. We sure do love that boy. He is smart, funny, loving, and just the most handsome little boy. He reminds me so much of LeRoy when he was a child that age. They could be twins. Warms my heart.
Can you tell who rocks my world? Grandchildren are the very best.
