Dotti,  Exercise,  Weight Loss

Another week has flown by.  I swear, the older I get, the faster time flies.  My sleep is still backwards (awake all night, sleep most of the day) and really all I can do is work on getting it back to a more normal schedule.  I go in cycles, it seems.  🙁

Elliptical4_10_14I did the elliptical again yesterday, which meant I did it two days in a row.  I skipped today and will do it again tomorrow.  I’m really trying to add more sessions during the week by doing the elliptical two days on, one day off.  I didn’t last the last time I tried this but maybe I will this time.  All I can do is to keep trying.

Today I got up and made a new recipe, adapted from another given to me, Lasagna Soup.  Al and I both loved it.  Check it out if you’re interested.

Speaking of new recipes, I have really been enjoying cooking.  I guess I have finally become a cook.  I can tell you I’ve never thought of myself as a cook; just a person that can throw meals together.  I’m actually having a lot of fun creating recipes.

button3up As for my Journey, I did the Elliptical L10, 45 min, 3.8 miles, 459 calories burned.  It was the second day in a row.  I am staying on course with my eating and exercise.  I feel good. I listened to the  Appreciating Yourself track on my Enjoying Weight Loss Hypnosis CDs.   button2up

    Your doing great Dottie ! I agree the older I get the faster times seems to go as well. Its unreal. I think your doing amazing at the elliptical , I know for me .. I can be an all or nothing gal, but sometimes force myself to take a day off in between. I think we can only push ourselves so much. There are times I really feel it especially when I push myself harder and longer on the treadmill. Like everything else.. balance is key. I am SO happy your enjoying your cooking because we all reap the benefits !! LOL THANKS so much for adding the nutritional and points. Makes it so easy !!

      Marina, I tend to overdo also and this time around I’m trying to keep my exercise at a level I can maintain. Otherwise, I will get overwhelmed and quit. I like my exercise to be something I enjoy and can do throughout my life. I do love cooking now. 🙂

    Keep up the good work! I have been following you for a long long time. I reached lifetime and have been on again off again all my life with weight watchers, but I keep on trying! And to me that is all that counts!!
