    Time is Flying By

Why is it that the older you get the faster time seems to go by?  Here it is March 14th already! I’ve been busy adding (82) new restaurants and updating (75) others in the last couple of weeks.  All the restaurants were given Smart Points, along with the already Points+ and Original Points.  As of 3/12/18 I have 779 Restaurants, 406 with Smart Points added. Every day I get up wanting to keep on tracking, keep on drinking water instead of Diet Dr. Pepper, keep on getting some exercise, and most of all, keep on keeping on.  I’m not going to give up even though I’m struggling to keep doing what needs to be done to lose this weight and become a healthier person.  I will not give up. Christmas was the last time I posted so I need to do a bit of updating. We had the grandkids for an overnight on Valentine’s Day while the parents had a nice getaway.  We had so much fun.  We ordered pizza and gigantic chocolate chip cookie from Pizza Hut and the next morning I made some heart-shaped pancakes.  Grandpa took Emily to school the next morning.  Grandma and Grandpa got to…

Merry Christmas From Our House to Yours ~ 2017

Can you believe it is near the end of 2017?  It seems the older I get the faster time goes.  It’s been a busy last 6 months since I last posted.  Note to self:  I must get better at posting more often. The Grandkids have grown so much over this year, as you can see from the above photos.  Our oldest grandson, Kai, who is 19 years old, has grown into a fine young man.  I’m sure the girls are swooning all over him.  We don’t get to see him much as he lives in Japan with his Dad.  We miss them a lot. Emily and Jake had a lot of fun this past summer.  Emily found a huge slug in the backyard.  She was so enthralled with it.  It certainly was the biggest slug I ever saw! We both hate bugs but we also give exception to ladybugs.  Emily enjoyed them all summer long.  Emily also learned how to climb a tree in the fall and is up there every chance she gets.  Jake joined her in the tree with a little help from his Dad and Grandpa Al and boy, was it hard to get him down.  He…

Happy Anniversary & Al’s First Novel Published

Hi everyone.  On June 10, 1976 Al and I were married in Vancouver, WA.  We celebrated 41 years on June 10, 2017.  It’s been a wonderful 41 years and we look forward to many more. We met it September 1974, the year I graduated. I am doing okay on getting back on track with my Program.  I was doing really good staying off the Diet Dr. Pepper but have slipped the past couple of days.  I will get back on track with that.  I still haven’t started walking yet but the grandkids and grocery shopping helps me get some exercise.  Hopefully our pool will be getting used when the hot weather comes to stay.  I’m not journaling yet but I am trying to eat smaller portions.  My sleep is still wacko; up long stretches, sometimes 24 hours or more.  I know that is not helping me stay on Program.   Last Friday we had a wonderful BBQ at LeRoy’s house.  We were sorry that Rachel had to work and couldn’t be there.  LeRoy has the backyard beautifully landscaped with so many flowers.  He put up a new swingset for the kids, along with a sandbox – their favorite!  We had loaded…
