How about those Halloween parties—are you prepared to stay on Program while attending the party? Let's look at a few ways that can help you do just that.
How many of you work at an office? I'll bet that most of you have seen, or walk by, candy on your fellow employee's desk. Not fun, is it? Why not politely ask that person to put the candy in the desk or somewhere else out of sight? Of course, you will have the ones who won't oblige you. What do you do then? You could ask them to please put the candy in a colored container with a solid lid so you don't see the actual candy or hear it calling your name. (If you explain why, it might help. Sometimes, when a coworker understands that this is a real struggle for you, cooperation is easier to get.) It is a known fact that we will eat more of the candy when it's visible because the visibility makes us think about it more. Every time you see the candy dish you have to make a decision whether you are going to eat any or not.
If you do start nibbling on those fun size candies please try and keep the wrappers where you can see them. They will be a reminder of how much you've consumed and just how quickly the calories are adding up. Scary, if you think about how fast you can get 4-6 pieces of candy consumed. So, be accountable. Visuals really are a wonderful way to scare you back on Program!
Try to take a short walk on your break. You will get some fresh air, which will invigorate you and help you over those mid-morning and mid-afternoon slumps where you ‘think’ you are hungry.
We have discussed a few ways to celebrate Halloween successfully on Program. I do hope that you will try and make it your most successful Halloween ever!

Dotti's Update
Hi everyone. Here it is already time for another update. I have been going to Physical Therapy for my left knee that was injured (sprained ligament) during my car accident on Sept 10th. It seems to be helping.
I’ve continued to work on staying on Program to the best of my ability on any given day. My stress level is a bit high right now due to some family issues that need to be addressed and to my injuries from the car accident. I listen to my "Enjoying Weight Loss" Hypnosis CDs" whenever I can to help keep my 'head' in the game, usually a couple times a week. I've eaten a bit more than I wanted to at times but for the most part I'm hanging in there. Just as I seem to get going again something gets in the way. I'm no quitter so I'm just going to take it one day at a time, with no guilt and moving on.

Your cookies showed up today, and Penny, I liked them a lot! I ate half of the first one at room temperature, and then heated the other half up in the microwave. That tasted so good that I heated the entire second cookie before eating it.
The cookies had a very strong peanut butter flavor, and they were very good! The cookies were not dry—quite moist—and the flavor was excellent.
I honestly hadn’t planned to eat the second one straight away, but the first one tasted so good that the second one was calling my name “loudly.” They were both delicious!

Recipe Ingredients:

Directions:

Weight Commander
The
Weight Commander is an awesome program for your Journey. I
highly recommend it to all those who are on a Journey of their own.
It is a wonderful program to track your progress on any weight loss
program you are using. You can read

which will help you to be successful on your Journey.
And for those who don't feel comfortable downloading software, or who cringe when Windows gives them another unnecessary warning about running perfectly safe software, Michael has created a wonderful online version of

Commander, where you can always access your information with privacy, with no worry about trying to transfer it from computer to computer when you switch. You can of course still get the software version (which continues to work very well,
even on my Windows Vista computer), but
the online version of Weight
Commander is a wonderful new option! You make the choice, but you win either way.
Halloween Spiders
2 tbsp. Peanut butter
2 tbsp. Powdered sugar
2 tbsp. Graham cracker crumbs
2 tbsp. Coconut
Licorice
Raisins
Mix peanut butter, sugar and crumbs together and form a ball. Divide the ball into 2 parts to form 2 balls, 1 slightly smaller than the other.
Roll balls in coconut and place smaller ball on top of larger one.
The smaller ball will be the head and the larger one, the abdomen. Add 8 licorice legs and 8 raisin eyes.
Makes 1 scary spider.
