Dotti & JuJu meet the Vader Girls October

- L-R I got up early on Wednesday, October 4th and headed out to Julie's house where we had planned to meet for our drive up to Vader, WA - it's about an hour away from here! It was a great drive and Julie and I got some conversation in, enjoying each others company! We met Carolyn and JoJo at a Union 76 right off the freeway. All the girls above meet at one of the houses (it was Carolyns house this week) and have their Weight Watcher Meeting! It is so cool. They weigh in, discuss their week and have a "goodie basket" for the one who loses the most that week! Julie and I were honored to be there and invited to their special meeting! They all have such a "zest for life" and have quite the sense of humor - I want to be like them when I grow up! :) The meeting was wonderful! JoJo is the "Colonel" and keeps them all in line - she is a hard taskmaster and they all love her! Most of these women grew up together so you can just imagine the fun they have! After the meeting they took Julie and I to their Restaurant (they go there all the time) and we had a wonderful breakfast. Laughs all around! JoJo presented Julie and I with a Patriotic tee shirt (JoJo is wearing it in her pic) - what a thoughtful thing to do! After our meal they also presented me with a YUMMY birthday cake! JoJo made it and it was scrumptious! I have to say something about this Restaurant - the owners/waitresses know these wonderful ladies are on WW'ers and if one should go in there alone and eat what they are NOT supposed to ... well, all I can say is the phone is ringing all over town with the bad deed reported to the right people! Isn't that hilarious! Gives you an idea just how fun these ladies are. Julie and I will be making a return trip - maybe even bringing Carole from the boards with us! |
