- L-R 5 zonies met in Cleveland yesterday and it was fun. HarleyDG and I drove up from an hour south and met at mly's house. Liverpoolteach met us there and we went onto a Johnny Mango's restaurant (health food type) where we were joined by mev and her daughter. We had fun talking and comparing notes (so to speak.) Then we went to the West Side Market. I had always wanted to go there. It is a food market, produce, meat, BAKERIES (groan), Candy, herbs, grains, etc. What a feast for the senses. I am proud to say I only bought I individual Mudslide cake for DH and didn't tempt myself with those danties I knew I wouldn't stop at just one. It was a beautiful day and the pleasant company made it all the better. I think we will be planning another sometime in the future. Marianne was so generous to get this under way and pull it together. Thanks, she is a nice lady. All the ladies were fun and mev's daughter was a little lady. She got rooked into being the shutter bug. I think Marianne is going to post pic.'s She has a digital camera. I am soooo technically challenged!!!! As most of you have probably noticed! Liverpoolteach, made it , we were a little worried there for awhile. Missing messages She seems to enjoy her teaching and shared her experiences with us. A joy. Then there is HarleyDG, She is not a Harley mama as her name implies, it's just her dogs name LOL. We had a good time and visit driving and hour each way. Very nice lady. All in all a very successful day. Meeting new friends is such great fun. Come on zonies, let's make it bigger next time. Mev Saturday's Zonie get together in Cleveland was alot of fun! Thanks to Karen, MEV, Marianne, and Wendy for the great time we had and for making it a success! Lunch at Mango Joe's was really good. I bought so much fresh fruit and vegetables at the West Side Market, there's NO WAY I can be off program in the next few days! :) Thanks, Karen, for the 1 point goodie bags. I finally got to try YooHoo Lite and picked some up on Sunday! I also got to try Pirate's Booty for the first time too!! You are so thoughtful to do such a nice thing for all of us! Thanks, Marianne for arranging a place for lunch and coordinating everything! Wendy, we were so glad it worked out and you got directions to join us! (Of course, I got your e-mail from Friday this morning--just a little late!) MEV - It was so nice to meet one of my fellow "We Canners" in person and to be able to put a face with the name. Hope you are feeling better soon. You are all a great bunch of ladies, and I hope we can do this again! Other Zonies in the area: Please join us next time! We had a great time at lunch and then it was off to the West Side Market for shopping. Lot's of veggies and Fruits to choose from. I can't wait to do it again!!
