Thursday,
January 25, 2001 - Rebecca (BeccaBell), Flo (webbmom),
Donna (dsjohnson) and Kim (kpsquared) meet at the Fergie Meeting!
Well, we did it! I met Flo
(webbmom) in the parking lot of Trader Joes, then we drove together to the
Holiday Inn. Flo has a great Southern accent but we managed to understand
each other! At the hotel we found Donna (dsjohnson) and then Kim found the
three of us - they both said they would have recognized us anywhere from our
pictures on the boards! We had about an hour to chat, swap food finds, eat
our Subway lunches etc. before Sarah came in. She was very down-to-earth and
fun. She talked for about 15 minutes and then four success stories went up
on stage to meet her - they all brought their "before" clothes to
show everyone. One 21 year old girl had lost 185 lbs!!
Afterwards we posed for some photos together. Then Kim had to leave and we
took Donna to Trader Joes to stock up on goodies before we went our separate
ways. It was a lot of fun! Rebecca
It was so much fun. Meeting Becca,
Donna, and Kim was the really highlight of my day! Donna even took a picture
of Trader Joe's. 800 losers in one room - think about it. It
was motivation on steroids! Fergie had a great "warm up" lady -
and she kept us in stitches until the main attraction arrived (a wee bit late,
I think). She had everyone
stand that had lost at least 5 lbs. on WW, and then had people sit down by
25 lb. increments. It was great to see Becca still standing after 75 pounds!
GO BECCA!!! What a day. Flo
It was so great to meet, Flo, Becca,
and Kim. I felt like I was meeting old friends-kisses went all 'round. THEN,
on to Trader Joe's! I got Dotti's favorite shrimp stir fry, Becca's salmon
farfalle, some shelled edamame, AND some Pirate's Booty. I sampled them on
the way home, and I either should have bought five more bags, or maybe I shouldn't
have bought any. They're real good! Also, as I love to cook, I saw lots of
great things there that I guess I won't buy right now-good thing it's an hour
away from me...Flo also gave me a fruit and nut Baker's cookie; now I know
what all the shoutings about - like a really good, moist oatmeal cookie, and
not too sweet, which I liked. Very filling. I guess I'll be ordering some. What a lovely day! Donna
There I was standing in
the doorway looking for them amongst 800 people. As I began to walk the room
I noticed Flo standing up and Rebecca had moved her head to the side. Who
would have imagined that I would have found them, but I did. It was like we
were old friends who hadn't seen each other in a long time. Kim
