Dotti & Al Meet Washington/Oregon ZoniesSaturday,
July 28, 2001 - Dotti & Al meet Julie (Juju), Jojo, Mary (Mary Dunivan),
Phyllis, From the moment we walked in the door of the Sweet Tomatoes restaurant, until the moment we left, Dotti and I had a wonderful time visiting with the local “Zonies.” I had a wonderful conversation with Carole during my meal, a meal that I never did really finish, even though it was good. I didn’t get to visit as much with the other ladies as I would have liked to, but they all were wonderful, and I was so very happily surprised to hear how many of them have been coming down to the men’s forum and reading my journal. I feel honored! I wanted to ask JoJo what style of Karate she is involved with, and how long she has been involved, etc. but I didn’t get the chance before she had to leave. I enjoyed hearing about roller-blading from Melody, and we are so glad that Phyllis has moved here from Billings, because it is our gain and their loss. I visited with JuJu and Mary a bit before our lunch, but they were all the way down on the other end of the table during lunch, and I did not get to visit with them as much as I would have liked, but hopefully next time we will get to visit more. (And Sally, we missed you! I hope that your family issues worked out okay for you, and we will hopefully see you in September!) Each and every one of the ladies was so nice. (Every time I get together with “Zonies” it is a very special event for me. Dotti and I are overwhelmed with the wonderful response her page has generated, and always marvel at how really special the visitors to the page have been to her and me.) I find myself looking forward to these events more and more, because they are such fun. Everyone is positive and friendly. And we all talk food. Imagine that. :) Thank you ladies for giving Dot and me such a fun time, and a great opportunity to meet such wonderful people! Al Lunch was great and I also stopped into TJ's to see about the Heaven's Bistro Pizzas - NONE :( Was so sad! Thank you all for a wonderful afternoon spent with wonderful friends! Don't forget - we are doing it again on September 9th, Sunday - Joan (Jschle) from the Forties Group will be in town and is eager to meet us all! Phyllis doesn't post YET but I saw her at my WWer Meeting on Monday, 7/30, and she had a wonderful time and plans on being at the September luncheon also! Dotti I had so much fun yesterday meeting all of you!! It inspires me to see others losing weight and having fun at the same time. I am one of the gals that drove down from Vader. I was with my friend Joann and we shall be back in September when you meet again!! Thanks again so much for everything and and keep plugging along gals . It does work!! Mary Dunivan I had a wonderful time meeting all of you yesterday... and Al, I particularly enjoyed talking with you about your journey! Looking forward to see all of you plus others in September!
