Week 91 Update

It was a bit colder this morning, with the thermometer in the back yard sitting at 29°, when I got up. It was 06:55 when I stepped up on Mr. Scale. He said, "186.0 pounds!" I was very pleased with that, because when I went to bed last night the scale was reading 190.5. I was a bit concerned that with all the extra exercise I might end up retaining enough water to throw me out of range this morning.

I was very happy with my exercise this week. I got in a workout in 6 days, taking Thursday off. I had two weight training sessions, one upper body and one lower body. I also got in 3 hours and 15 minutes of basketball, and I walked 6 miles. It all added up to 45.75 aerobic points, 15 points over my minimum goal.

My hands are puffy this morning and I have a few aching muscles in my legs, but all in all, I feel pretty good. Yesterday I played 5 games of one-on-one basketball, and it highlighted the fact that I still need to build up my stamina quite a bit. I get winded too easily still. But things are improving, and in time I am sure I will be able to move around without getting so winded.

My trainer at the gym told me that the most I should realistically expect to put on, in muscle mass, is 5 to 7 pounds. Since I need to lose 16 pounds of fat in order to get my percent of body fat down to 18%, I am stuck. Either I will have to lose a few more pounds, or just live with my percent of body fat being at something over 20%. I am not going to fret over it yet. I will see where things settle out after I have been doing the weights for a while.

For my eating this week...

I moved up a half pound this week for my weekly weigh-in. I am fairly confident that the increase was due to the exercise that I have been having the last few days. My hands feel swollen and I think water would explain the half pound. My average weight for the week actually dropped from 185.57 to 185.21, while my average points per day increased from 42.64 to 45.79.

On Saturday I was a half pound higher than my target and I ate 43.5 points. On Sunday, my weight dropped to 185.0. I still dropped my points to 40.0, because I was not hungry for more. On Monday I held steady at 185.0, and I ate 46.0 points. On Tuesday I had dropped to 184.5. I ate 46.0 points again, and my weight moved up to 185.0 on Wednesday. I had 47.5 points, and I weighed 185.5 on Thursday morning. I had 51.0 points that day, and my weight held steady at 185.5 yesterday morning. I ate 46.5 points for the day on Friday, and this morning my weight was up to 186.0.

My average water consumption per day dropped this week from 78.86 to 69.71.
