Week 73 Update

It is hard to believe it is already Saturday! I slept in until 6:30 AM this morning, and was not exactly jumping out of bed even then. When I stepped up on Mr. Scale he responded with, "183.5 pounds!" I was a bit worried that it might be even lower, especially sleeping in a bit later than normal, but it turned out okay. I was tired of seeing 186 and 187 popping up on the scale, and wanted to get on the low side of 185 again, instead of the high side. So, starting on Monday, when my exercise level fell off, I strove to keep my points down around 43 or less. On Tuesday I went a bit high, but I was down on Monday, and Wednesday, so it didn't matter.

My average weight for the week was within 14 one-hundredths of being right on my target weight. I can't complain about that. :) I didn't drown in water this week, but I got at least 6 cups in each day and more on most days.

The move was all that I was afraid it was going to be for intense labor. Both of my forearms ended up with huge bruises on them from all the boxes digging in, especially my right forearm. While I was moving boxes and furniture, my right shoulder wasn't hurting at all, but after I finished each day, it ached a lot. Of course my entire body was protesting each night, but I was very impressed with what a good night's sleep would do to recover. Each morning, I was able to start fresh, with a new allotment of energy, which I completely used up by the end of the day. On Friday night last week, after moving a desk that was really too heavy for me, on top of all the books I had moved, I suddenly just couldn't go on any more. I left the truck filled, sitting in our driveway, and went to bed. The next morning, I was ready to go, and unloaded the truck with no problem at all.

On Saturday, Dotti's (little - younger not smaller :) ) brother Rip came to help us. Oh my, what a difference that made! Although we had already moved nearly all of the books from the apartment, we still had a lot more books in the storage shed, and we had a whole lot of other things left to move, including our heavy furniture. We could never have gotten it all done in the allotted time if it had not been for Rip's help! He also was kind enough to say some very complimentary things about how much weight I had lost. This was the first time he had seen me since I reached goal. He even noticed how I was moving (no pun intended) very differently, with more energy now, as I was grabbing things and taking them down the stairs to the truck. I didn't even have to bribe him to say it. :lol)

Rip will be at the conference this next May, and we may even get him to post on the message board one of these days. LeRoy should be at the conference also, and he and Rip are good friends. Both being single, they may even be rooming together for the conference weekend.

It's Dotti's birthday today! Happy Birthday Dotti!!!

Tracy is here visiting for a couple of days, and she and Dotti had fun applying what Tracy called, "Retail Therapy," yesterday. We have some fun things planned for today, and will put the moving task on hold and just enjoy ourselves for a day.

1 year, 146 days OP, a lifetime to follow!
