It was 6:10 AM when I stepped up on Mr. Scale and he said, "199.5 pounds!"

I still feel like I am treading water, but once again, I was at or under 200 pounds all week long, and that is acceptable, since it means that I am in my Normal Range.

My Weight Commander Control Panel Graph shows a slightly upwards trend that I will have to reverse if I want to remain in the Normal Range. I am creeping up to the limit of 200 pounds. The gains on the left side of the Control Panel are outnumbering and outsizing the losses over the past 4 weeks. Another trend that has to be dealt with!

On the right side of the Control Panel it shows that I weigh two pounds more than I did 1 year ago, 4.5 pounds more than I did 30 days ago but 4.5 pounds less than I did 90 days ago.

My Weight Commander Future Graph shows me creeping up to 204.5 pounds over the next 3 months. That makes perfect sense, if the current trend continues.

My Excel spreadsheet projections are closer to each other than I have ever seen them I believe. The 90-Day Projection based upon my weight change in the past two weeks is: 204.93 pounds. The one based upon the change in my average weight says: 205.21. That puts the future graph, and both Excel projections all within less than one pound of each other! I think they are trying to tell me something, and I better listen!

My Weight Commander 60-Day Graph looks like there is a ceiling above it, that lies along the 200 pound line. From time to time I bump up against it, but then drop back down a bit. Lately, I haven't been dropping very much below it and that worries me some.

My Weight Commander 90-Day Graph looks as though I were trying to reach 200 pounds and then maintain under it. Effectively that is what I have been doing.

My Weight Commander 1-Year Graph shows a trend that is a little scary; the left side of the graph is tracking a similar line to what the right side is doing. From November 18 on, the line looks the same as the line for 3 weeks after January 7. I really do not want to go down that road!

This week we took five 2-mile walks. Mom likes to walk with Dotti and I, and we like it when she joins us. Each time we walk the path is different. The weather is never the same from day to day, and sometimes we walk in the evening and other times it is in the morning or afternoon. We use our cameras often over the same terrain, but the pictures come out diffently, depending upon the conditions we are walking in.

The new building was closed in and snowed on this week, and Dotti went to her first Weight Watchers meeting in Roseburg! (I think she enjoyed it. Big Smile) Friday night it snowed and made for some nice picture opportunities. And we continue to struggle with getting a firm and stable set of conditions for making sure that Mom is okay. But we are making progress in that area.

Since we take so many pictures along the same route, I am not going to bore you with repeats of other pictures here, but I think I found a few special ones that you might enjoy.

New building in the snow The new building is closed in and fully roofed. They even got some primer paint on it before the snow came along and covered up the new shingles. The race is on to see if they can get the thing done by the time we have to move our stuff in.

Snow Through Living Room Windows This morning the view out of our upper living room windows was a study in snow. Dotti's white tiger seemed right at home with that snowy background. That sign above the bookcase seems very appropriate these days, as stress is a nearly constant companion. RELAX!

South Umpqua River an hour before sunrise I was really happy with the way this one turned out. It was one hour before sunrise this morning, and still quite dark out. I set my ISO to 1600, my shutter speed for 30 seconds with the lens opened up to f5.6. The long shutter speed allowed the snowy hills to come out, and the backlit trees came alive with a glow from the Ranger Station. (If you would like to see a larger version: 1039 x 697 and 202K file size)

Mom Coming Home Mom in her red, white, and blue outfit was warm in her brightly colored hat and scarf. Dotti was behind a bit and had been lining up some pictures of a couple of deer in the yard, using her telephoto zoom and power flash. When I took this picture, she was looking at one of the pictures on her view screen to see how it turned out.

Dark Autumn Leaves We were in Myrtle Creek on Monday so Mom could get some blood work done. While Dotti and Mom were visiting inside, and waiting for the line to clear out, I went out and took some pictures. This one shows the interesting clouds in the distance and some lingering autumn leaves still hanging on to their branches.

Bright Autumn Leaves Here were some more leaves and these were catching the sunlight pretty well, and the blue of the sky made a good background, with the clouds giving us some contrast.

Al Set to WalkDotti took this one of me before we set out on our walk. Dotti likes to have an umbrella for protection in case it rains. I like to make Dotti happy, and so I put the umbrella in my backpack so we'd have it with us if it decided to rain on us. It didn't rain, but the the umbrella added a bit of color to the picture anyway. Big Smile (Karen it was in the low 40s or upper 30s when we walked. The heavy coat was mostly for the waterproofing, but you are right, we are wimps compared with you folks and your Fairbanks burr-cold temperatures. Big Smile)

Bambi in the Snow I had gone out this morning to take some snow pictures, and there were a couple of deer heading for our front yard. One cleared the fence and was eating grass when this one came across the road, went down to the fence, spied me and couldn't make up his mind what he was going to do. He crossed over the road several times and finally decided he wanted to be safe more than he wanted the grass under our apple tree. He ran up the bank a little ways and turned to see if I were going to follow him. That is when I snapped this picture. (Dotti let me borrow her camera for this shot. I had both of our cameras with me because she had her long lens on, and I had my wide-angle lens on mine. I was going back and forth between the cameras as I moved around taking pictures. But this picture needed the long lens.)

Bambi in the Snow No update is complete without a picture of the most beautiful woman in all of the world, my Dotti! We have pictures of when she was just out of the toddler stage and she had that same marvelous smile, so full of uninhibited joy. My world revolves around this wonderful woman, and I am so lucky to have her!

One bit of Frostbyte news, our cat nailed his first mouse on Monday! He caught it in the pantry and brought it out to the dining room. He then started playing with it. I don't think he hurt it a bit. He has no front claws but his teeth work really well, and I have a scar from an accidently inflicted bloody wound on my ankle, that he gave me a couple of months back, to prove it.

We were watching him and it soon became clear that our over stuffed cat was only in it for the fun. He had no intention of doing the mouse in. So, I took care of that for him. But it was nice to see him get that varmint out of our pantry. We have seen very little of any mice since Frostbyte has been on the prowl in the house. Mom has had a problem with mice in the past, so I think Frostbyte will be a very big asset on that score. He has also become great friends with Mom and they spend a lot of time together each day. He is very effective at reducing our stress level and that is so important these days!

It's only 12 days until Christmas! So many Christmas carols and movies and so little time. And shopping. Did I mention shopping?

Have a great Christmas Holiday Season!!!
