This was a cool display! There were 8 sculptures in all. One was of a lecturing ranger, and other 7 were listening tourists. All of the sculptures were created from volcanic ash! The face of the ranger looked alive, as the picture of a talking woman was projected onto it. The only way I could see what the underlying surface looked like was to take a flash picture. That overrode the projection, and allowed us to see the smooth sculpted surface. Without the flash, you get a view of what the face really looked like when viewing the display.
